Lynda is a retired accountant and artist studying at the University of the Fraser Valley. She works in sculpture, ceramics, painting, drawing, and printmaking. She most recently studied kitchen lithography with Davida Kidd. Her work explores intricate, kaleidoscopic compositions that fuse organic elements with geometric precision. Using collagraph prints, pencil crayons, dried flowers and plant materials, and finally digital printing, she creates visual tapestries where repetition becomes dynamic and expands a sense of wonder.

I had a wonderful time here at the Similkameen Artist Residency. Unfortunately, the time went by too quickly. I arrived with many projects to do, however being here in the landscape gave me many more ideas and my projects shifted from my original plans, opening my work up to new unexpected directions. The area is full of great food from the fruit markets and I will miss all the fresh produce.

For me, SAR is like an artist’s dream because it gave me a chance to make my work in a big studio, it gave me time to reflect, and time to allow the work to grow.

I want to thank everyone at SAR, especially Ali and Bryce, and the Freybe family for making this residency possible.
