“The Similkameen Studio residency was a beneficial and valuable experience that provided me with the time for reflecting on my art practice. For two months, I stayed at a fully equipped log house in the village of Keremeos, where I had a large personal studio space with an amazing view of the trees. During this time I was able to experiment and take some distance from my previous work. Also, I had the time and space to research the next material and conceptual steps of my practice.

The beautiful natural landscape was truly inspiring and a perfect place to tune in with the natural world's temporalities and cycles. For instance, in order to get familiar with the place, I started a series of walks through the land to have an embodied experience of the natural landscape's sounds.”
